Welcome page from Everything DiSC on Catalyst

Each organization has its own unique culture. The strength of that culture, though, depends on whether it was shaped with intention or left to develop in its own haphazard way. Without guidance and a shared purpose, bad habits and poor communication can easily become the foundation of company culture.

Culture is not shaped through a one-time event. Rather, it calls for ongoing learning that leads to lasting behavior change.

Everything DiSC® on Catalyst™ is a learning platform designed to make it easier for organizations to integrate Everything DiSC into their work on an ongoing basis. It connects independent learning and facilitated sessions in a single, personalized space. On Catalyst, learners gain insight into their own and their colleagues’ DiSC® styles and gain actionable strategies for working better across styles.

Catalyst summary

Catalyst is available for Workplace, Management, and Agile EQ profiles. It shifts the focus from a one-and-done event to an ongoing learning process.

  • Modular design: Each of the learning modules is self-contained. They can still be delivered together in a single event, but have been configured with an eye toward the emerging trends around short-format learning sessions.
  • Meant for repeated, ongoing use: The Catalyst platform acts as a personalized, on-demand access point for learners to call on throughout their DiSC journey.
  • Easier to compare profiles: Catalyst’s “Your colleagues” section makes it easy to find others in your organization, compare profiles, and get tips for working together. With “Your groups,” learners can build their own group maps.
  • Increased support for virtual facilitation: With so many people working remotely, Catalyst has enhanced resources for facilitating DiSC sessions virtually. Materials support both virtual and in-person options.

Here’s what is included in Catalyst:

Everything DiSC® personality assessments

Learners are welcomed to the platform with a friendly onboarding process that brings them swiftly to the assessment questions. The assessment takes approximately 20-30 minutes. If learners previously completed an Everything DiSC assessment with you in the past, their data can be moved over. They will be asked to complete some additional questions, taking about 5-10 minutes.

Everything DiSC® Agile EQ and Everything DiSC® Management are available on Catalyst as an add-on experience to Everything DiSC® Workplace, not as a stand-alone experience.

Although all content is presented in the learning modules, learners can download a PDF of their DiSC profile as well.

Upon completing their assessment, learners see a personalized home page with a quick summary of their style. From there, the content is divided into these sections:

Your DiSC style

Participants will learn about the DiSC map and read a narrative about their style. They can choose to listen to a podcast about their specific style or download a PDF version of their report.

Your colleagues

See everyone in your organization at a glance. The card for each person shows their name, style, and a few bullet points about them, such as:

  • Faces challenges head-on
  • Balances efficiency and quality
  • Drives momentum

You can search people; filter by style or department; or sort by name, style, newest, or department. This is a useful way to see the big picture of how DiSC styles are at work in your company’s culture.

Selecting a person brings you to a page where you can learn more about that person’s priorities and stressors (see Stephanie in the example shown). Short bulleted lists let you quickly discover similarities and differences between your workstyles. Then, you and Stephanie are plotted on various continua—e.g., Accommodating to Strong-Willed, or Tactful to Frank—with tendencies for each person spelled out beneath. A final section focuses on the two of you working together, describing benefits, roadblocks, and tips for different situations.

This is a great place to return to frequently for actionable tips on working with specific individuals. For example, if you are headed into a meeting with Stephanie, you can take a few minutes beforehand to review her style priorities and the tips for working with her. Going into a conversation with this mindset will have a great impact on the success of that interaction.

This interactive feature, available within each learner’s Catalyst profile, helps teams build cohesion and adapt their behavior for optimal performance. Learners can create groups to reflect their day-to-day teams, plot teams on a DiSC map, and shed light on team dynamics that impact their performance.

The content in the Catalyst facilitation kit differs from the other kits in that it has been reworked to enable several shorter training sessions, as an alternative to one longer session.

A new way to engage and connect

Organizational culture has faced dramatic—and likely permanent—changes in recent years. Catalyst gives your learners an easy-to-use platform for ongoing engagement in culture change at your company.

Perhaps you have been using MyEverythingDiSC as the online home for your learners. Catalyst has some of the same features but has been rebuilt from the ground up to be a more engaging and dynamic tool for ongoing learning and repeated visits. MyEverythingDiSC was designed as a follow-up to DiSC sessions. Catalyst is a holistic, fully integrated digital learning platform that combines the assessment, a learner’s DiSC results, personalized content, and the comparison capability. It can be paired with virtual and/or face-to-face facilitation, and encourages repeated use and independent learning. Catalyst acts as a single access point for the learner throughout their DiSC journey.

Culture happens with or without your guidance. So, will you let culture emerge in a way that drags down morale and performance, or will you take action to shape the culture you want?
