Catalyst™ is a new platform designed to make it easier for organizations to integrate Everything DiSC into their work on an ongoing basis. It connects independent learning and facilitated sessions in a single, personalized space. On Catalyst, learners gain insight into their own and their colleagues’ DiSC styles, and gain actionable strategies for working better across styles.
Many companies have been using MyEverythingDiSC as the online home for their learners. Catalyst has some of the same features, but has been rebuilt from the ground up to be a more engaging and dynamic tool for ongoing learning and repeated visits. MyEverythingDiSC will continue for the foreseeable future, but will eventually be phased out in favor of Catalyst. This article gives an overview of Catalyst, with a focus on how it compares to MyEverythingDiSC.

Summary: Catalyst vs. MyEverythingDiSC
Catalyst is available for Workplace and Agile EQ profiles. It shifts the focus from a one-and-done event to an ongoing learning process, with a few notable differences from MyEverythingDiSC:
- Modular design: Each of the eight modules is self-contained. They can still be delivered together in a single event, but have been configured with an eye toward the emerging trends around short-format learning sessions.
- Meant for repeated, ongoing use: The Catalyst platform acts as a personalized, on-demand access point for learners to call on throughout their DiSC journey.
- Easier to compare profiles: Catalyst’s “Your colleagues” section makes it easy to find others in your organization, compare profiles, and get tips for working together.
- Increased support for virtual facilitation: With so many people working remotely, Catalyst has enhanced resources for facilitating DiSC sessions virtually. Materials support both virtual and in-person options.

What is included in Catalyst?
1. Everything DiSC personality assessment
Learners are welcomed to the platform with a friendly onboarding process that brings them swiftly to the assessment questions. The assessment takes approximately 20-30 minutes. If learners previously completed an Everything DiSC assessment with you in the past, their data can be moved over. They will be asked to complete some additional questions, taking about 5-10 minutes.
Everything DiSC Agile EQ is available on Catalyst as an add-on experience to Workplace, not as a stand-alone experience.
Catalyst vs. MyEverythingDiSC: Catalyst begins with a more robust and wide-ranging assessment, to enable deeper training and behavior change. The assessment in Catalyst covers the base DiSC questions plus:
- Everything DiSC Workplace priorities
- Everything DiSC Productive Conflict priorities
- Everything DiSC Management priorities
- Everything DiSC Agile EQ mindsets
2. Catalyst learning platform
Upon completing their assessment, learners see a personalized home page with a quick summary of their style. From there, the content is divided into these sections:
Your DiSC style
Participants will learn about the DiSC map and read a narrative about their style. They can choose to listen to a podcast about their specific style, or download a PDF version of their report.
Catalyst vs. MyEverythingDiSC: Catalyst includes the style narrative within the learning platform, rather than just in the PDF report.
See everyone in your organization at a glance. The card for each person shows their name, style, and a few bullet points about them, such as:
- Faces challenges head-on
- Balances efficiency & quality
- Drives momentum
You can search people, or sort by name, style, newest, or department. This is a useful way to see the big picture of how DiSC styles are at work in your company’s culture.
Selecting a person brings you to a page where you can learn more about that person’s priorities and stressors (see Debra in the example shown). Short bulleted lists let you quickly discover similarities and differences between your workstyles. Then, you and Debra are plotted on various continua—e.g., Accommodating to Strong-Willed, or Tactful to Frank—with tendencies for each person spelled out beneath. A final section focuses on the two of you working together, describing benefits, roadblocks, and tips for different situations.
In addition to the initial learning about colleagues’ styles and how to work together, this is a great place to return to frequently for a refresher on the DiSC style make-up of various teams, or for actionable tips on working with specific individuals. For example, if you are headed into a meeting with Debra, you can take a few minutes beforehand to review her style priorities and the tips for working with her. Going into a conversation with this mindset will have a great impact on the success of that interaction.
Catalyst vs. MyEverythingDiSC: Catalyst is not an “open universe” like MyEverythingDiSC where you can connect with people outside your organization. Catalyst is a closed universe, and you will only see others in your organization. The “Your colleages” landing page showing an overview of everyone and their styles is new, as is the sort function.
Workplace and Agile EQ
Here, learners will find the personalized content traditionally found in the Workplace Profile and Agile EQ Profile but refactored into learning modules. Presenting the information in this way makes it easier to link the independent learning to classroom learning sessions.
- How you work: priorities, motivators and stressors, and strategies for stretching beyond your style.
- Understand your relationships: How each style relates to yours. Includes videos of people from each style discussing how their style manifests at work.
- Build better relationships: strategies to connect, problem-solve, and navigate tense situations with each style.
Agile EQ contents:
- What is EQ?: introduction video and overview of the eight mindsets.
- Your EQ strengths: digging into the three mindsets most natural to you and the benefits and limits of using them.
- Beyond your comfort zone: effort meters for the five mindsets outside your comfort zone, with guidance on stretching into them.
- Develop your EQ: personalized guidance on how to set goals and action steps towards growing your emotional intelligence.
Catalyst vs. MyEverythingDiSC: Liberating content from the PDF into personalized online learning modules, along with pulling in videos and information about teammates of various styles, makes for a more engaging learning experience.
This section guides learners through modules that familiarize them with the DiSC model and the theory behind it. The modules are:
- The DiSC model
- The 12 styles
- DiSC research
- DiSC theory
- DiSC history
Catalyst vs. MyEverythingDiSC: Much of the information is on both platforms, but Catalyst makes it easier to find and use.
3. Your DiSC Profile (PDF)
This 23-page (Workplace) or 36-page (Agile EQ) profile gives participants insights and actionable strategies for building relationships and being more effective at work.
Your DiSC Profile on Catalyst vs. Everything DiSC Workplace Profile and Everything DiSC Agile EQ Profile: The personalized information remains largely the same, but the report is reconfigured with a modular design to coincide with the topics in the facilitator resources.
4. Facilitator resources
The Everything DiSC on Catalyst tools have options for virtual and face-to-face facilitation of Workplace and Agile EQ trainings, including contemporary video and activities. Everything DiSC on Catalyst facilitation materials are available for download free of charge if you have purchased and registered an Everything DiSC Workplace Facilitation Kit or Agile EQ Facilitation Kit.
Catalyst vs. Everything DiSC Workplace and Agile EQ Facilitation Kits: The basic concepts taught are the same in both versions, but some activities have changed to ensure that participants still have a rich experience in a virtual environment. The content has also been reworked to enable several shorter training sessions, as an alternative to one longer session.

MyEverythingDiSC was designed as a follow-up to DiSC sessions. It can be paired with virtual and/or face-to-face facilitation, and encourages repeated use and independent learning. Catalyst acts as a single access point for the learner throughout their DiSC journey.
